The 2015 Daytona 500
One of the busiest weeks for our hotel is always during The Daytona 500. Daytona is famous for its world famous beach, but also for its amazing race events. The 2015 Daytona 500 counted with several attractions that were guaranteed fun!
If you’re into fast cars, you’re probably into fast planes doing tricks in the air. The world-renowned U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds provided a spectacular show featuring six F-16 Fighting Falcons that flew over and performed their “Delta” formation during the final of the national anthem for “The Great American Race.”
For the folks that were feeling more rock and roll and craving some good music, The Daytona 500 also had something great on the menu for them. American rock star Kid Rock rocked the stage playing some of his most famous hits and his brand new single, “First Kiss” that just became available on February 24, 2015.
Now, for the main event we have the 500-mile-long race! The DAYTONA 500 is the biggest, richest and most prestigious race on the NASCAR schedule and people come from all over the world to witness the smoke-filled race action and join the loud crowd as they cheer on their favorite drivers.
Joey Logano is the current champion after winning the race this past Sunday on February 22, 2015. Winners are presented with the Harley J. Earl Trophy in Victory Lane, and the winning car is displayed, in race-winning condition, for one year at Daytona 500 Experience, a museum and gallery adjacent to Daytona International Speedway.
The Hawaiian Inn is located at approximately 15 minutes from the Daytona International Speedway and offers all the comfort and spectacular beachfront view that wows our guests each time. Amenities include newly renovated balconies, Olympic-size swimming pool, indoor heated pool, children’s wading pool and more.
The next big event in Daytona is coming up in March! Bike Week is right wound the corner and since we’re also fairly busy at that time, we suggest you book your reservation now!
